Relocation is the process of relocating an existing BTS/WiMAX site from its current location to another, usually because of problem caused by the L.L, or new requirements by Radio team or the expiration of the contract and etc. For this, the process will be taken as follow:
- Site Acquisition: A thorough Site Acquisition process is launched not only to find the most Technically desired new location, but also to overcome the problems which have left the current location as useless.
- CW tasks : Once a proper new location is identified, Detailed Designs are prepared per the standards of the Customer, and Construction Works of new tower, fence, road and site entryway are carried out in a way to make the new location ready for implementation of Telecom Equipment. In this phase, all possibilities are taken in to consideration to minimize the purchasing of new items, and the best is tried to make use of the existing structures, available at the previous location.
- Implementation of electrical safety and protection systems in new location such as: Excavating of Earth pit and Earthing system and lightning protection system to guard people and electrical equipment against a broad range of hazards including Electric shocks, damage to electrical equipment, fire and disruption the operation of sensitive telecommunication devices by noise during short circuit current in network and lightning strike.
- Installation of Electric Poles and Medium and low voltage power line and Electrical Panels and Transformers for transmitting electrical energy to the new location of site and supplying telecommunication equipment which are done by electrical engineers and technicians team.
- TI :After making the site ready for installation of its Telecom Equipment, all such modules such as BTS rack, radio equipment, antennas and microwave dish are carefully dismantled, packed and delivered to the new location. Once the delivery is done, they are properly unpacked, re-installed and commissioned in the new location.
